CERTIFICATE IV IN MAKEUP
CUF40407

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

Certificate IV in Makeup is designed for students who want to pursue a career as a professional Makeup Artist.

By studying Certificate IV, you'll open up options beyond those available to Certificate II students and be able to work in the areas of TV, fashion, photography, catwalk, editorial or training.

Certificate IV is very similar to the Diploma of Makeup, except that it does not include spfx or specialised makeup application such as period makeup.

COURSE DURATION

Certificate IV runs for approximately 4.5 months on an after hours basis only. Certificate IV has approximately 340 class contact hours, 110 hours of out of class project work and 40 hours of out of class practical work (total 490 hours).

COURSE FUNDING

Various government agencies provide funding for the Certificate IV course (for example, Austudy, Youth Allowance, Abstudy and the Pensioner Education Supplement). Other forms of government funding are also available, depending on your circumstances. In addition, the Academy offers students interest free payment plans to assist with fee payments.

YOU SHOULD STUDY CERTIFCATE IV IF...
You want to have a successful career as a professional Makeup Artist (say in TV, photography, editorial or fashion), but you are not interested in working in the areas of spfx or specialised makeup application such as period makeup.

GOVERNMENT ACCREDITATION

Our Certificate IV in Makeup is fully government accredited, which means that the qualification you receive is recognised by the industry Australia-wide.
