AIMS & OBJECTIVES


The Elite Makeup Artist Course specialises in advanced makeup techniques, such as Makeup for TV, Specialised Hair Styling & Cutting, Special Effects Makeup and Makeup for the Print-Media Industry. 

To be respected in the industry today requires dedication, commitment and more than just a standard class-room education.

The Elite Makeup Artist Course aims to offer students an entirely new perspective in the development of their career as a professional Makeup Artist by taking you to a higher and more advanced level of makeup artistry than offered at any other institution.

 

COURSE PRE-REQUISITES

To enrol in this comprehensive makeup program, students must have completed studies in makeup to Diploma of Makeup level (or equivalent). 

Being an advanced course, the Elite Makeup Artist Course is designed to build on and supplement your prior makeup skills and experience, giving you the competitive edge you need for true success. 

All applicants are also required to attend a pre-enrolment interview to assess their eligibility for the course. 

There are limited positions in our once yearly intake for the Elite Makeup Artist Course.

 

COURSE DURATION AND ASSESSMENT

The Elite Makeup Artist Course is made up of approximately 240 class contact hours plus at least 40 hours of out of class work experience. 

This course is only offered on an after hours basis.  At the end of the course, students are assessed on a completed, industry-standard portfolio that must be submitted to the Academy for review.  This means that additional out of class work will be required in order to prepare and construct this portfolio.

COURSE FUNDING

This course is conducted on a full fee paying basis and has not been submitted to any government agency for funding purposes. 

Despite this, the Academy of Makeup offers interest-free student payment plans to assist students.

Character Makeup
In this class the student will use all techniques learnt in Diploma to design and create a full character.
Techniques will include Bald cap, crape hair, ageing with latex and so on.  

WORK EXPERIENCE
Extensive practical in the field experience.
